Supporting Children with SEND
Children may have special educational needs or emotional and behavioural needs at any time, or throughout their time at school.
We endeavour to identify children as early as possible so that we can provide them with the support that they need. We follow the Local Authority guidelines and the SEND Code of Practice regarding the assessment and identification of children.
Working with Specialist Services
We work closely with a range of specialists, including:
- Educational Psychologists
- Speech and Language Therapists
- School Nursing Team
- Health Visitors
- Many other external agencies and professionals
This ensures that we meet the needs of each individual child effectively.
In-Class Support
We ensure that all classes have a Learning Support Assistant, who works with children in small groups or individually to support their learning and help them access the curriculum successfully.
